The vacancy
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced research clinician to join the team in the Academic Unit of Palliative Care at St Gemma’s Hospice in partnership with the University of Leeds.
We are looking for a fixed term Research Practitioner to help us to further embed and develop our research portfolio. Although this is initially a 2-year fixed term position we anticipate that the post will generate funding to ensure the longer-term sustainability of an embedded research team.
The main purpose of the role is to strengthen and develop the research capacity and capability across the Hospice and beyond, contributing to the academic agenda and facilitating the safe delivery of research activities to inform clinical practice and patient experience.
You will be part of a supportive and dynamic team of clinicians and academics and be able to work effectively with a broader multidisciplinary team and other research partners.
The Academic Unit of Palliative Care is a shared academic system between St Gemma’s and the University of Leeds that consists of three areas: Research, Learning and Teaching, and Evidence Based Practice.
For the right candidate, a working pattern of 30 hours per week would be considered. Job share would also be considered.
To discuss this opportunity in greater detail please contact Jane Emmett, Senior Medical Team Administrator: jane.emmett@st-gemma.co.uk or telephone 0113 218 5538.
Interviews: 4th July 2023
