Hospice Specialty Doctor – fixed term for 6 - 12 months (negotiable)            

August 2024 – August 2025 (Interested doctors with availability for a later part of the period also encouraged to apply.)

Grade:                      Minimum 2 years post qualification experience

Salary Range:         As per BMA pay scale

Hours:                      40 per week with 1 in 5 non-resident on call

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a doctor to gain experience in Palliative Medicine at St Gemma’s Hospice, Leeds. 

We are looking for a fixed term Hospice Specialty Doctor of FY3 level or above to support the medical team on the In-Patient Unit, providing palliative care to patients.

The prime purpose of this role is to provide holistic patient-focused care and to work as an integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team.  You will be supported in your decision making by the Palliative Care Consultants, Specialty training registrar doctors and multi-disciplinary team.

You will be part of a supportive and dynamic medical team which consists of 4 Consultants in Palliative Medicine, alongside trainees in Palliative medicine, Internal Medicine, General Practice and Foundation Year 2.
