The role
Event support required! We have a variety of events at St Gemma's and require help from volunteers. Being an event volunteer provides a flexible volunteer role which is ideal for anyone who is unable to comitt to long term or regular volunteering.
Our events are a great way to get involved and give back to a local charity. You can soak up the event atmosphere and have fun! Times are flexible during events and all event volunteers will be invited to a briefing for each event, provided with a T shirt and any out of pocket expenses depending on the length of your volunteering.

Leeds Running Festival, Sunday 18th August 2024
This is the second Leeds Running Festival of the year and St Gemma's Hospice are the charity of the year. This event will take place at Roundhay Park and begins from around 8.00am until lunchtime. Volunteers are required to cheer on participants and provide drinks and snacks!
The Thomas Osborne, Street Lane, LS8 1AP, Sunday 25th August 2024
The Thomas Osbourne pub is organising a zumbathon in aid of St Gemma’s. There will be stalls and music throughout the afternoon. Volunteers are required to represent St Gemma's and help with the raffle. Times will be from 1pm until 7pm (there is flexibility between these hours).
Wetherby 10K run, Sunday 15th September 2024
The Wetherby Running Club have very kindly chosen St Gemma’s Hospice as their Charity of the Year. If you can support us to cheer on participants and help represent St Gemma's, please get in touch! Times will be from 8am to 1pm.

St Gemma’s Hospice is an independent Leeds-based charity and one of the leading hospices in the UK, providing expert care and support for local people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. We offer care to patients, families and carers in the Hospice’s In-Patient Unit, through the St Gemma’s community team, and at our Out-Patients.
We have around 300 employees and working across the main Hospice site in Moortown, Retail Hub in Bramley, a large chain of charity shops, and out in the community.
