The vacancy
If you are a passionate and committed individual then St Gemma’s wants you to join their team.
We are seeking a Shop Manager to oversee the smooth operation of one of our successful charity shops. You will provide efficient management of the shop and donated stock, achieve targets and give supervision and support to staff and volunteers.
You will join our friendly team as part of our network of charity shops across Leeds. The successful candidate will have retail experience and will be a friendly, customer-focused and self-motivated individual who is able to work under their own initiative. Flexibility is also essential for this role as you may be required to work at any of our shops across Leeds.

St Gemma’s Hospice is a Leeds-based charity providing expert care and support for local people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. We offer care to patients and their carers in the Hospice’s In-Patient Unit, through the St Gemma’s community team, and via our day services, which include a Day Hospice and Out-Patient Department.

We are using Contract as our legal basis for processing, which means we can use your details and information so that we may assess your suitability for employment with us, as well as carry out our statistical analysis of recruitment.

We will store your application data for 12 months after the vacancy has closed. After this period, it will be fully anonymised.

Our recruitment process requires that we contact the referees provided by you as part of our checks to ascertain suitability of employment. The content of the reference will not be shared without the referee's permission.
How can I access the information you hold about me? Your rights
We are dedicated to providing reasonable access to visitors who wish to review the personal information retained when they apply via our website site and correct any inaccuracies it may contain.
