Vacancy: Digital Marketing and Communications Manager (Maternity Cover)
Salary Range: Band 5
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Fixed-term for 12 months. Commencing end July / early August 2025(12 months initially )

St Gemma’s Hospice is one of the UK’s leading hospices, providing expert care and support to thousands of people across Leeds each year. We’re a prominent and respected charity at the heart of our local community, and we’re looking for a skilled and creative Digital Marketing and Communications Manager to join our small, friendly team.

This is a crucial role covering maternity leave, with responsibility for leading our digital presence – including websites, social media, e-newsletters, and more. You’ll work closely with teams across the organisation, particularly income generation, to deliver impactful campaigns that raise awareness and support fundraising.

You’ll be confident managing multiple platforms, creating engaging content, and providing digital marketing advice to colleagues at all levels. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll help ensure consistent, compelling messaging that reflects St Gemma’s values.

While this is a fixed-term contract, there may be potential for the role to be extended, depending on future organisational needs.

St Gemma’s Hospice is an independent Leeds-based charity and one of the leading hospices in the UK, providing expert care and support for local people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. We offer care to patients, families and carers in the Hospice’s In-Patient Unit, through the St Gemma’s community team, and at our Out-Patients.

We have around 300 employees working across the main Hospice site in Moortown, Retail Hub in Bramley, a large chain of charity shops, and out in the community. St Gemma’s Hospice has a team of approximately 800 volunteers, working in a variety of roles supporting departments throughout the organisation.
